Full Time – Permanent – Mortgage Administrator/Paraplanner

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a hard working, customer service focused individual to join a fast paced Mortgage team as a Mortgage Administrator/Paraplanner. Initially, the role will primarily be for mortgages (including Equity Release) and protection, administration and paraplanning. However, we are an expanding business and like to support progression where we can and this could potentially be a team management role or progression to adviser over a 2 year period.

We are Bigmore Associates, a long-standing and well-established financial services firm, based in Walton-on-Thames, that offers a wide range of financial services to businesses and individuals.

The position is based at our offices in Walton-On-Thames and we are looking for a candidate to work full time hours with some flexibility to work from home once training has been completed.

Responsibilities

  • Daily liaison with lenders and providers to obtain updates on applicant status and pro-actively progress mortgage, equity release and protection applications through to completion and providing the mortgage advisers with clear and concise updates
  • Speaking to clients with updates and information requests
  • Writing reports (suitability letters) and sending to clients
  • Submitting applications to lenders, accurately and efficiently
  • Updating the internal back office system (Intelligent Office) and ensuring new plans are added accurately

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience in mortgages and/or financial services in an administrative capacity
  • A good knowledge of mortgages
  • A confident and professional communication manner, both written and verbally
  • Some regulated qualifications, although not essential
  • The ability to work independently as well as within a small team

  • Be able to cope with a varied workload, be able to self-prioritise and take ownership of their tasks
