We are looking for an experienced, full-time Investment Administrator to join our financial planning team. Our office is based in Walton on Thames and we have a hybrid working environment with 3 days in the office and the flexibility to work 2 days a week from home. Our office hours are 8.30am to 5pm*
*Initially, flexibility will be tailored to your training and you will need to be in the office more to start with. This will allow you to learn the role as well as train with and get to know the team.
What skills, qualifications and experience do I need to have?
You will need to be experienced in working in an IFA firm as an investment administrator. Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Experience of investment administration within a financial planning firm
- Great energy and a positive, can-do attitude
- Be calm and unflappable under pressure, be able to confidently prioritise tasks and manage a busy workload
- Show attention to detail
- Be a fantastic communicator, with your team and with our clients
- Work well as part of a team to get the best outcome for every client
- Be a master of technology – CRM systems, platforms, cashflow tools, fund analysis, etc
What are the key responsibilities of this role?
- Gathering data and preparing client valuations when required
- Liaising with product providers to obtain plan information, illustrations, and other details, as required (for new clients and existing)
- Supporting team to gather information for the reports, including research, cashflow modelling, risk assessment and charges information
- Adding new clients to the back office system, including sensitive data consents, marketing consents, client agreements, AML verification and inputting risk assessments
- Liaising with product providers, to monitor and progress client transfers
- Ensuring client data is kept up to date on the back-office system
- Ensuring client files are up to date, complete, compliant and correctly filed
- Submitting and completing new business, including post business actions
- Supporting meeting preparation as required
- Ensuring that any follow ups (for example, on information requests from providers or responses from clients) are diarised and actioned under your own initiative at the appropriate time and the task remains on your to do list until completion
- Drafting top up, withdrawal, lump sum, change in premium letters to clients
- Fund switches and rebalancing, including tracking and fund switching letter to clients
- Tax year end actions such as bed and ISA, pension top ups and withdrawals, CGT calculations, etc
- Requesting drawdown quotes and instructing drawdown
- Fund performance comparisons, using FE Analytics
- Liaising with clients to ensure that their service needs are met within our timescales
- Arranging client meetings and preparing meeting packs for the advisers
No two days are the same! You will be the ‘go to’ person for financial planning in the day to day servicing for clients, working in a fast paced and supportive environment, with a great team around you.
What is the total compensation?
The salary range for this role is £28,000 – £32,000.
Our team is also eligible for a 10% discretionary bonus annually, which will depend on company profits, hitting your KPIs and exhibiting the behaviours we expect from our team, in line with our core values of:
