January 16, 2024

According to the Mental Health Foundation, one in three people (32%) said worries about ‘being able to afford to pay my bills’ made them anxious in the last two weeks, while 20% of people said ‘debt’ is causing them anxiety.

Stress and worry about finances are not uncommon. Neither is that stress being so overwhelming that you do nothing to better your situation.

If this is you, the first thing you must remember is that you are not alone. These feelings and the freeze response they can cause are normal and much more common than you think.

Financial inaction often comes from a place of not knowing what to do and not fully understanding what can happen if you don’t start taking action. Action that seems overwhelming at first, but once you start it has the potential to lead you down a path where you can find peace of mind.

This video will talk you through what those consequences might be and offer a bit of guidance on how to start taking the steps needed to put yourself in a stronger financial situation.
